Colorado River Paddle? Multi-Day Kayak or Canoe

Well, it is that time of year once again. Winter, ice....Would anyone be interested in doing a multi-day trip on the Colorado River, Nevada/Arizona. Warm days, cool nights, clear hot water springs, some of the best hiking, climbing, bouldering. Lots of BIG game viewing great birding. I do several of these trips each year, I've got it worked out. The logistics are a snap, we take our camp gear, food and get on the plane. If there is interest or if you need info, let me know. The cost is minimal, depends on what we choose to do. The best is three days on the River, we camp near hot springs and it is totally primitive. These are pak in- pak out trips. Let me know, Rick

Update for the Colorado River trip;
The outbound flight info is; Jan 30 Southwest flt #2957 4:40 pm, the additional "early bird" is good to have for out bound but very important to return from LasVegas
The return is outbound from LasVegas Feb 3rd flt #[masked]am Again, the early bird is very important for this flight.

If you are going on this trip you need to act QUICKLY for these flights, they are coordinated with everything else. As soon as you are confirmed for the flight out of columbus let me know and I will get your permits for the Colorado River. I HAVE the equip. lodging, transportation .....all set. We B ready, LET'S DO THIS THANG!! If you want to be on the river sooner or longer, let me know, I'll be there most of January. [masked]

There will be an info meeting soon, to be posted, where we discuss gear, clothes, food, survival and safety. Rick

    Awesome, Words could never describe the fun we had, or the things we saw. Super group of people, now friends for life. We saw some amazing Bald Eagles, Golden eagles a few big horn sheep and Helen the legend. We never actually saw Bigfoot but we heard him growling every night at Lauras tent. Trip of a lifetime. We will post some pics soon.

    OK, we will be launching at "below the dam with an out-fitter, they will pick us up at willow beach. This is flat water, some rapids but beginner is fine, should have some outdoors experience. We will be using kayaks and canoes

    it's been a long time since I did a river trip, and the fast water was minimal. I'm wondering what experience level is requifed and what kind of vessels you will be using.
