Hiking Biking and Fireside Mixer

Are you tired of Cabin Fever? Then gather your gear and let's get movin! We are going to spend a refreshing morning, hiking, biking, and mixing it up, at the beautiful Mossy Ridge Trail, or a combination of the trails available at Percy Warner Park. The trails are easily followed and you may choose any or all that you like. Or choose to bring your bike and bike the numerous twists and turns on road within the park.  Or check out the horse trails and bring your own horse. Afterwards, we'll all sit by the fireplace, build some campfires, and enjoy a great POTLUCK meal.  Bring the kids, bring the family, bring something to share, hike, ride, or bike, or just visit by the fire ... There is a playground for the kids, coffee, hot cocoa,...

Bring something to share, bring Aunt Martha to watch the kids, bring Grandma and Grandpa and sit by the fire, bring your festive mood, and oh maybe a chair and a stick of firewood!

I'll meet you at the trailhead as soon as I set up at one of the fireplaces. I won't know which fireplace until I get there and snag one. Look for my gold Honda mini van, H2OLILY or my beatup old suburban if you too want to help set-up or leave stuff at the fireplace.   PHONE: [masked]

This was a great hike, and the potluck by the fire was such a nice treat afterward.

I'm not familiar with this park. For the potluck meal... Is there an outlet by the fireplaces you mentioned so I could bring something hot in a crock pot? Or would it be better to bring something to grill? I have a cast iron griddle I can bring that has a grill side and can be used over fire or grill. Or I could do something simple that doesn't have to be heated. Just thought hot food might be good in tomorrow's cold! Thanks!!

My daughter and I are coming! This will be our first event. We desperately need the exercise and sunshine, so I'm really looking forward to it!

We might bring our portable 'fireplace' and some wood to add a little more heat. It might prove to be a pretty cold morning.
