Water Lilly Deb -Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to totally plagiarize your write-up! Thanks
Come join us for a beautiful Saturday moonlight paddle on Percy Priest Lake.
We'll put in at Hamilton Creek sailboat marina and paddle around the lake to one of the islands. While on the island, we'll dine on the finest cuisine you can pack in your boat and watch the summer sun set and a waning moon rise. We'll hang out at the island and then paddle back after dark. No set end time, we'll figure it out!
Bring snack and beverage for an informal picnic on the island.
Take I-40 to exit #219 Stewart's Ferry Pike
SOUTH on Bell Road about 3.4 miles (through 4 lights)
Watch for the brown "Hamilton Creek" sign
Turn LEFT into Hamilton Creek Park-drive to the Marina
Meet at the Marina
PFDs are required out and back.
Bring at least 2 lights and check your batteries. A strong light inside your boat is a great addition, and makes us look really cool (and visible) on the lake at night.
Feel free to bring a snack and a beverage to tie you over until dinner.
The current forecast is for clear skies and temps falling to the low 70s in the evening with a slight breeze around 5 mph. It should be very pleasant. But, plan, dress, and bring extra gear in your dry bag. From experience, I know it's much easier to cool down than warm up on the water. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
