Saturday Paddle at 10:00am
Obey River to Cumberland River - Class I - 8 miles
Meet to start shuttle @ camping area with group at 10:00 am,
or meet a ~ 10:30 am below the dam at river access ramp.
Obey River from Dale Hollow Dam, by Donaldson Park Recreation Area access, to confluence of The Cumberland River, ending at the Clay County Recreation Complex access (group camp).

Join us for any or all activities. Free Group Camping, Choose from many Camping / Lodging opportunities, or drive up for the day.

Paddling Reminders:
PFD required.  Pack drinking water, sunglasses, sunscreen, snack, & safety gear.

(Class I Recreational Kayaking & Canoeing)
Many paddling opportunities available including Obey River, Cumberland River, & Dale Hollow Lake. Clay County Recreation Complex is immediately downstream from the confluence of the Cumberland River & the Obey River. A private access to the Cumberland River is located adjacent to group camping area.

Free Group Camping at Clay County Recreation Complex with Paddle Adventures Unlimited,
or choose
camping / lodging from many nearby campgrounds or cabins.
Free Group Camping  details:
Arrive beginning Friday. Camp in mowed field between woods.
Bathrooms & showers available: (1 mens shower & 1 womens shower).

No Electricity & Water at immediate camping area. (primitive)

Directions from Westmoreland & Lafayette,
Driving East toward Celina along Hwy 52, Turn Right on Moss Arcott Rd after 66 gas station, (before crossing Cumberland River bridge),
Travel a few hundered feet, Turn left - down the hill gravel drive into the complex, Turn right off the gravel drive at one of two openings into mowed field, & follow between woods.

Fish the Obey River, Hatchery Creek, Cumberland River, or Dale Hollow Lake.
If you like Trout fishing, then grab your fishing pole!

Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery is adjacent to the Obey River at Dale Hollow Lake Dam (open to the public).

Hatchery Creek is a small creek below the Dale Hollow Dam that is stocked with trout.
A paved walking path along the creek provides easy access. Obey River (below the dam) is home to the Tennessee state record rainbow trout (14 pounds, 8 ounces) and brown trout (26 pounds, 2 ounces).
