emails to the Worcester Paddling Meetup Group

Hi everyone,

Welcome to all our new members and hello again to our existing members - we are up to over 400 members now!  We've had a fun several years now and I hope for a great season this summer!

Just a note about trips with the group.  The other organizers and I do our best to get as many trips scheduled as possible, with as much variety of time and location as possible.  That said, we all work and have busy lives (don't forget, we don't get paid for this!).  So just a reminder that if you would like to get together with people for a paddle when/where we don't have a trip planned, please feel free to email the group to see if people would like to join you.

You can e-mail the group at [address removed].  Please note that when you send a message to this address, I will be notified to approve it before it actually goes out to everyone (this it to block any spam type emails that sometimes try to come through).  I usually get them approved pretty quickly. Also **PLEASE** include your email address so people can respond directly, otherwise they can only respond to the whole group.  When responding to a group email, please try not to reply to the whole group unless appropriate, I get many complaints about too many emails when the replies start going to everyone.

**IMPORTANT** Please be aware that if you organize or attend a trip that is planned through the email list, it is NOT an official group trip (the same is true if you use the message/discussion board on the website, which is also an option).  Please evaluate the situation and your participation accordingly (as you always should even with an official trip), but if everyone uses some common sense, it's a great way for you all to connect with fellow paddlers and get out on the water!

Have a safe and happy paddling season and I look forward to seeing everyone on the water soon!

Christine
