Please - no dogs on group paddles

Hi everyone,

As a dog owner (who does take their dog kayaking) I do understand the desire to bring them, but due to safety concerns and out of respect for fellow paddlers who are not dog lovers, we ask you not to bring your dog on group trips unless that trip is designated as a "bring your dog" paddle (only to be held in certain, appropriate locations with specific gear and experience requirements).

It's still only May and we've already had two accidental flips this season with assistance required, this would be much more difficult if trying to rescue your dog at the same time!  Also you may need to assist in rescuing a fellow paddler and that would be impossible if you have a dog in your kayak.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!
