When emailing the meetup group...

Hi everyone,

I very much encourage anyone who is looking for people to paddle with at a particular time/place to email the group to find people who may be interested in joining you.  One thing to note, though...  an annoying feature of email through meetup is that when you email the group through [address removed] (yes, this is the email you should use to message the whole group), replies go to everyone, not just the sender.  This leads to many emails flying around and people complaining about too many emails, so please in your email include your email address for people to reply to.

Also please be aware that in order to prevent spam from going out to everyone, I have it set up so that any messages sent out to the group have to be approved by me.  Of course as long as they are appropriate and related to paddling I will let them through.  Just be aware if there is a delay between you sending it and it going out to everyone, this is why, but usually I get them approved within a couple of hours of them being sent.

Thank you for your cooperation, and happy paddling!
