Hi -- we are also interested in the trip, but without camping. Is that possible?

Ann, Maria and I are doing the trip without camping. We plan on hanging out on the bar for a while but not staying the night.

Ann, we are no longer going on this trip. I didn't want you to drive all this way relying on the fact that we were paddling but not camping, then not have a shuttle available for a day paddle.

Quick reminder for everyone : prior to meeting at the Green River Ferry parking lot, you will need to stop at the ranger station (the place where you get tickets to go on cave tours) and get a backcountry permit. This will allow you to park overnight without hassle from the rangers.

The Tn. kayakers are camping at Mammouth Caves that weekend, but were doing a different section. Wish we were together. Ya'll have a great time.

Hey guys, I am going to change the plan a little for this paddle, I hope it will be ok for everyone. We will meet at 1:00 pm at Green river Ferry and then shuttle to the put-in. We will paddle about a quarter of a mile to the large sandbar on the river, camp out for the night and finish the last seven miles in the morning. If you have any questions please send me an email. This will make for a better camping excursion as we will not bake in the sun all day prior to camping !

I live down the road from Stockholm road which I believe is the north side of the green river ferry. This will be my first meet up with this group and I have few questions: do we have to camp? where exactly are you guys camping?

Any interest in taking this on down to Houchins Ferry? Unless the river isn't even flowing, our group will do this 8 miles in two hours easily.
