Roadside Cleanup

  • Nov 16, 2013 · 8:30 AM
  • On The Road

It is time to show some pride in who we are and some respect for Mother Earth!

This is our semi-annual road side cleanup! Come help support Mother Nature!!! With a good crowd it can take an hour to do the cleanup, so bring friends!! Those with time after, we may have lunch somewhere on completion. We now park and meet at the Asia Cafe "Parking Lot" off of Callahan and Central Avenue Pike (across Callahan from the Weigles.) (Zwergin and/or Dierdrey will be there to organize the group, distribute supplies, and go over the details.) Arrival should be by 8:30am. Everyone will be briefed and outfitted with supplies and ready to start the pickup about 9:00am.

We should also have a vehicle driving the route to place people at both ends and should people need to step out part way or need more supplies.

Garbage bags, gloves and vests are provided... Gloves and Vests are "one size fits most"

So please help us help Mother Nature and hang out with friends at the same time.

Many Blessings!

Just a reminder to everyone if you have a few hours available Saturday morning, come join us in North Knoxville off I-75 on at the Callahan exit. We will be helping Mother Earth by tending to our adopted road. This event is one we have been proud to do for many years, and is where our Meetup Group's picture came from. I will have supplies. It will be quite cool, so dress in layers as you may warm up on your way down the road. We have adopted about 1.5 miles of road way, so the more the merrier! I would say at this point, it could be considered a tradition to keep accepting the responsibility, and fulfill it. So thank you everyone who has a chance to help keep our tradition alive. Many Blessings!
