Our change in name and the restructure of general dues is all part of a plan to bring the AAPHC to the attention of more Austinites faster. If you have attended a Weekend Workshop in the last two years, you have heard Torvald drone on about visions of a future in which there is a community center that serves as a multi-functional tool for all Pagans and Heathens in the area. Well, we are on the way to making that a reality. 

The officers and an interim board of directors met today, Sunday, January 26th, and discussed many issues concerning our direction and needs. One of those was still being able to reach those who find this site by themselves and more or less "stumble forward" into our world here. We want to maintain that initial level of introduction, maintain face-to-face Meetups and be solvent in maintaining the charges that Meetup levies on using this site. In doing so, we are free to initiate a personal dues program for those who want to go on to become full members within AAPHC and help us serve one another and our community's projects. 

The officers and the board felt that, for the personal service initially provided, as well as the networking tools that allow you to find others like yourselves, paying one dollar per month is not too much to require. Plus, there is a 90 "grace period" for everyone to really decide if they pressed the "join" button to really start themselves towards a lifelong new path, or did they just want to try it out to "see what it's all about". 

We hope you stick around and become further involved in the growth of our noble efforts and help us raise a Hall for all of us to use in praise of our deities and ancestors. If you have the passion, drive, and longevity, you will see that this really is a step towards a much grander goal.
