Here's some info about Paint Dancing:

Paint Dancing is a new venue created solely for the purpose of openly expressing yourself in 2 totally different mediums - AT ONCE! During this event, we will be PAINTING and DANCING (at the same time) in the private studio of abstract painter and hunger awareness activist, Matt Jones.

When: Every second Friday (from 8pm till 10pm)

Where: Gasworks Gallery

Why: To support local food banks around the country!

Watch City Stream's crazy story about Paint Dancing!

http://www.youtube.co...

We supply non-toxic paint, brushes and paper! All you need is your paint clothes (and shoes) and you are ready for PAINT DANCING! We will also have canvas available to purchase.

PaintDancing.com is a safe, supportive and fun environment to express yourself. The best news is; you don't need to know how to paint or dance to participate!

Take home your Paint Dancing masterpieces!

Our music choices will begin with a mix of upbeat exotic world rhythms and roll into over-the-top cool dance music from disco on up to present. For your safety, this venue can not support intentional paint flinging, but be prepared to get non-toxic paint on you from all directions and keep the spirit of play in your heart! Appetizers and beverages compliments of Gasworks Gallery. We will have a table set up for those that want to bring party foods and drinks!

Ecstatic, Latin, World, Rock, R&B or Blues Dancers! Expand your world to PAINT DANCING!

Paint Dancing costs $15 and supports MashedPotatoes.org's effort to end the threat of hunger in the state of Washington and across the country.

PAINT DANCING ROCKS!

Warmly,

Matt Jones

Are we allowed to bring food and drinks?

We only ask for food during the quarterly gallery openings. So yes, it's $15 per person and it goes to helping Paint Dancing grow around the world! Thanks! Matt

Matt: Is bringing bags of potatoes still okay, or are you just going with the financial donation... or both?
