THE SCENE: You might be surprised to see this one make the grade. Yet behind the Newton Marriot lies: the Charles River, a gazebo, old park benches and several interesting landscape-ural (what's the word?) mini-portraits. Parking is a breeze, and there are few if any passer-bys.
