Happy to have seen Bess again and to meet Randy and Tamara (as well as the owner of the farm)! FYI Tamara and I saw a snake when we left: large but was not a rattler, pretty pattern...was busy doing something with its head down a hole...I will suppose hunting, as moved back and forth a little...so we only saw the back end. So glad to get there after my GPS took me to a private small-plane airport (housing community) in the hills, first... After getting that far, was oh so glad I had copied internet directions. It was all more of an adventure than I expected! (winding mountain and dirt roads included)

I will be coming late

Despite getting a late start, I met a few painters, found a nice spot & got a fair amount of painting done:)

Hello. Is this meetup still happening? I am just trying to confirm before I make the 45 minute drive in the morning. Thanks.

Hello Bess, I just joined the group. Is there a meeting place, or do we just show up at 9am and say that we are with the PAP? Thanks. Looking forward to it.

Show up and look for other artists. We are pretty informal. With so many attending it should be easy to locate at least a few. We often spread out looking for that specual
Special scene or subject that stops us in our tracks.
Guests are coming from out of town for our annual Mothers Day family reunion; so sorry to miss this, but I'm going to be extremely busy preparing for the party. Have a great time. I look forward to viewing the group paintings later.
Does anyone know about Princeton Neptune Watercolor brushes
0 · May 7, 2014
Haven't used them. The best watercolor brush I've used is a Raphael squirrel mop. Rosemaryandco.com is supposed to be top quality handmade. They also offer squirrel brushes.
I believe the fee to get into the farm is $5:00 per person.

Hi Maria. Have had to cancel for the trip; have to repair my car's left front axle and door after an accident, so won't have a car for about 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear about your (?) accident; if you were the driver, I hope you're okay. Maybe next time.

I'm so glad. Even though RSVP'd earlier, learned have prior engagement. It's so difficult for working farms to let people come. It's always a disruption. Hope we can make it worth their while. Please keep us posted.

We need to change the date to May 10.I have no answer yet as to whether we may set up before they open to the public.Julie can you change the date??
Hi Maria. I live in Spring Valley and would be happy to carpool. Let me know as the time gets closer and we can work out the details : )
Thank you, Bryon. I accept. I would be happy to share on fuel cost.
I live in Eastlake, Chula Vista. Is there anyone with whom I could carpool? I could meet you halfway--anywhere between Chula Vista and Carlsbad or Oceanside. Thanks.
Their website says the farm is open only from 10:00 to 3:00. I am finding it difficult to paint even with a 9:00 a.m. start time because the light is flat by 10:30 and stays that way until 4:30 p.m. Business hours and plein air hours don't seem to mix. But, it looks like a beautiful place.

Maybe they would let a group of artists come early?http://www.kclfarm.co...
This sounds interesting.
Come out and paint with us. We have a great time. Meet other local Painters and get out and paint, discuss ideas, techniques, have shows and social events.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
