Upgrade Your Paleo, Fats Mini-Lecture + BBQ by LoveMeButter

Cheers SF cave-psters,

After hibernating through the winter, SF Paleo is coming back with monthly meetups, lots of love, and a simple goal- to bring out your primal inner beast.

This time around, we'll focus on the true ambrosia of the paleo world.... glorious fat. A potent fuel that's praised, hated, but above all, simply misunderstood.

To help alleviate this devastating state of things, I'll give a mini-lecture on the science of modern fats. I'll explain what makes some of them supportive while others utterly abysmal for the gears of inner health.

Next up, to anchor fancy science in the real world, we'll have a guest Akshay Arabolu, from LoveMeButter. An expert in all things pastured/grass-fed, he will take us on a journey, and paint a picture of the scary and mysterious world of sourcing healthiest meats, game, fish and butter.

Last but not least, to help assimilate all this information, we'll have a primal bbq, with grass-fed/pasture-raised, and above all, insanely tasty goodies, from the good people at LoveMeButter!

Hmm, and one last thing...
In a good primal-fashion, we'll make friends with tequila,
to wash down harsh truths and tasty foods.... :)

See you around,
Lukasz

This fascinating article about the history of human consumption of sugar might interest you. I had no idea that sugar was so recent an addition to our diet.

    Hey Lucasz,

Any suggestions for what to bring? Is anyone bringing salad yet?

Laurie, I think the best thing to bring is something yummy that you've discovered, that most folks may still not know about.
