Paint-out at Florida East Coast Railroad Station in Delray Beach

Often we document today's landscapes which will become tomorrow's history. This time we will be meeting at the Delray Train station once slated for demolition but saved by the Delray Beach Historical Society. It is located by the railroad tracks between Atlantic and NE 1st street, the Delray Station in the Pineapple Grove section of downtown Delray. Besides the train station there is lots to paint in Pineapple Grove or on Atlantic Ave. Do not park in the store lots. Meter parking is available or the Garage at Old School School Sq is pretty close by. To find out more about the Delray Historical Society see and for a good article on the trains see

Great subject for painting. Enjoyed the company and seeing this part of Palm Beach County.

Everyone loved location. This little station is an historical site in Delray. It has been painted by so many artists before us. Good to be continuing that tradition,

Fun location, weather cooperated for most of morning, got a bit breezy and i dropped my oil painting face down in the dirt. Hadn't even got a photo yet. Hope to pick off the extra sticks, dirt chunks, etc once it is dry.
