Yes, Palo Alto is the heart of a thriving intellectual community centered around Stanford but are you feeling as though you are still in need of intellectual stimulation or simply pleasant, unpretentious conversation? Well, there is definitely a dearth of book clubs in our area and we hope to fill that void with this group.

The Palo Alto Young (or "Young at Heart" )Professional Book Clubbers has been meeting since August 2007 and have read mostly contemporary fiction AND non-fiction addition to spice things up. Titles include Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Middlesex, The House of the Spirits, The Devil's Highway, Outlier's, The Omnivore's Delimma, ect. We vote democratically and try to offer a variety of intellectually stimulating book choices.
We have mostly have held recent meetings in cafes, pubs and restaurants.
