The Nerds vs The Borg - The Best of Both Worlds on the Big Screen!

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

And why would you even want to?

This not to be missed movie theater event will feature one of the most memorable moments in Sci-FI TV history! Star Trek: The Next Generation - Best of Both Worlds! Digitally Remastered!

This "Big" screening will include exclusive clips about the making of The Best of Both Worlds and Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3.

Set in the 24th century, The Next Generation was created by Gene Roddenberry over 20 years after the original Star Trek series. The Next Generation became the longest running series of the Star Trek franchise, consisting of 178 episodes over 7 seasons. Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Best of Both Worlds is the first opportunity to see The Best of Both Worlds, one of the greatest TV episodes of all time, as a gloriously remastered full-length feature movie event.

It's showing at the University City 6 Theater in Philadelphia, which is convenient to public transportation.

I plan on purchasing my ticket ASAP just to be safe. For those that also wish to do the same the link for online ticketing is provided below.

For advanced online ticketing click here: Tix are $12.50 plus $1 fee.

I was at KOP (where you go for the bitches).

It was a good show, and a good time EXCEPT the jackwagon next to me kept pulling out his phone and looking at it. It was driving me crazy. ABout an hour in he pulled it out and started looking at the phone and laughing, then showed it to the guy next to him and they started discussing whatever was on his phone.

I had enough and got up and moved seats after that.

The funny thing is I live in KoP...but I decided to post the event in Philly to cross-post with The Star Trek Meetup group. But fighting all that traffic was NO fun at all! I'll definitely be at my favorite IMAX theater in KoP for the Star Trek Into Darkness Meetup. Sorry Philly folks!

  • Paul

On the bright side...it was a great show and a fun group of Trekkers! Thanks for joining us!

    April 26, 2013

  • Paul

For those that arrived later...I waited outside 10-15 mins longer than I originally planned...I'm bummed I couldn't meet everyone. And the show selling out made it difficult for everyone to sit together. I talked to a couple of people that arrived but could not get tix. Such a bummer.

    Scattered in theater

Finally made it. Don't know how to find the group though. In the second row.

    April 25, 2013

  • Trish

I'll be there but the traffic from Penn Relays put me behind schedule. I'll be cutting it close to 6:30. Don't wait. Get a good seat!

    April 25, 2013

  • Paul

I'll be there around 5:45pm - 6:00pm. I'll be out front of the theater with a red balloon. I'll wait outside until 6:30pm. Please change your RSVP if you can not make it so I have an accurate count. See everyone there! Engage!

    April 25, 2013

  • IAN

I wont be able to get there until about 6:30 will try to find you in theater

    April 25, 2013

  • Robert S.

There's street parking in the area and a parking garage directly across from the street that gives discounts for a ticket validated at the movie theater-it was about $3 last time I parked there.

    April 25, 2013

    • Paul

Thanks Robert! I just confirmed the garage across the street is $3 if you validate at the theater. Free parking on 40th street.

      April 25, 2013

  • Dave B

I've never been to this theater - does anyone know what the parking situation is around there?

    April 25, 2013

  • Paul

If anyone is not going to make it...please change your RSVP by 5:00pm if possible so I have an idea of how many people I'm meeting out front. I'll have a balloon so people can easily find me. My cell is[masked] if anyone needs to reach me.

    April 24, 2013

  • Joe

Sorry, timing is bad for me tomorrow. Catch up to everyone another time.

    April 24, 2013

    • Paul

Sorry to see you can't make it Joe. Hopefully we'll see you at Star Trek Into Darkness.

      April 24, 2013

  • Paul

I'm probably going to try to arrive at the theater earlier than originally planned...closer to 5:45pm and wait for people until 6:15pm or so.

    April 24, 2013

  • IAN

the link to buy ticket doesn't work.

It's probably wise, but I'm not sure its necessary. I already bought mine.
