Dear New In Towners...
France has many holidays, especially in May ! This year, we even have two holidays in a row, so let's enjoy it. If you've just arrived in Paris, dont stay home, dont stay alone : This Wednesday is the day to have friendly conversations with new friends !
You're American and you feel homesick ? We found a cute American bar with a super American bartender : The Brooklyn with his French touch will help you to feel at home !
You're not American but you feel homesick too ? Well come and tell us about where you're from, speak French, English or Italian if you'd like, a lot of us come from everywhere !
So OK, you're not homesick because you've lived in Paris for years ? Join us anyway, tell us how great it is to live in Paris and have the best baguettes in the world :) [not only baguettes, there are museums, restaurants, exhibitions etc]
The Silly In The City Meetup Group will join us for this event !
Your challenge for our Holiday Meetup :
We have a saying in French "En mai, fais ce qu'il te plaît" meaning that the weather is so nice, you can enjoy the sun and dress in summer clothes before real summer. One thing you may have noticed about people in Paris, they wear black most of the time. So. Since springtime don't feel like spring at all, and summer is two months away, let's all wear a nice color that will make the sun come back and stay for good ! (yellow, blue, green, pink, red etc) And even if it doesnt work, we'll bring happy colors to our happy hour !
Please RSVP for us to get organized. The Brooklyn bar is close to Rambuteau (metro 11) or Chatelet (take the exit of the Metro 4 or Metro 11, it will be easier to find then) Please RSVP on this Meetup, thanks.
Hope to see you soon !
