Introduction
A marathon runner since 2004, I prefer to train in a group. I am a native Parisian but have lived in Chicago for almost 10 years. I have been back in my home town since 2005 and am starting to know some nice running routes!
Do you have a favorite running route in Paris?
On weeknights I like running across the Jardin des Plantes (good for intervals!) then around both islands, which is about 8K. On weekends I go along the Seine on the quais, then later in the season (for very long runs) along the Canal de l'Ourcq.
What is your approximate pace?
Racing about 7:20/mi, training about 8:30-9:00/mi.
Are you currently training for a race?
I just ran the Liverpool 1/2 marathon, have several triathlons lined up this summer, and possibly a marathon this fall. I'm hoping to complete an Ironman in the next 3 years.
Where in Paris do you live? (so we can meet at a convenient location for you)
Near the Jardin des Plantes. Most convenient for me is anywhere along the Seine between Austerlitz and Concorde, but I can stretch that area.
Where are you from, and how long have you lived in Paris?
I am a native Parisian.
