The back-side of Montmartre around the metro stop Lamarck-Caulaincourt is an unknown treasure chest.

Along Rue Caulaincourt and the nearby areas are tons of restaurants, bars, pubs and venues that only locals seem to frequent. Unlike the other side of Montmartre you'll be hard pressed to find tourists here. Some of these places are really cool options for a night out.

Our goal is to check this area out and discover it through a bar & pub hop! We'll start at the Froggy bar for a drink, and then we'll start to move about...bar and pub hop...a drink here... a drink there...the closest metro stop is Lamarck Caulaincourt on line #12.

Only 12 people can RSVP for this as a group larger than that would get difficult for this kind of event. As with all of our events such as this: Please don't RSVP unless you'll be there...and if your plans change then please be sure to change it so that someone else can have your spot.

Our goal will be to compile a list of the coolest places to hang at in this area, and will after put an article at my website with a 'bar crawl' map for others to use too!

So...come join us for a night of discovery!

I love this little gem of a quartier, nestled between the tourism of Montmarte and the chaos of Barbes. Best yet it still retains a neighbourhood feel. Also, for those who get there early, one of the best pastry chefs in Paris has his patisserie there: http://www.arnaud-larher.co.... I often make the haul over there just to indulge my sweet tooth....really worth checking out and not expensive at all.
