For those knitters
who couldn't make it to the Cocoa Bar (for some lame excuse like
hail and blizzards ;) ), I just want say that you missed another
lively knitting meet-up. These knitters really
know how to party. I believe there was talk about
jello shots, disco balls and dancing on tables....
Well, maybe not... But I'm sure there were lots of
"ohhhhs" and "ahhhs" over some gorgeous and pet-able yarn.
If you want a glimmer of the fun to be had at one of our
meetings, check out these picks that Nancy, one of our new
members, took and posted on her Flickr
For those of you
who are interested in the helmet liner / neck warmer that I was
adorning in one of the pictures, it was knit by the lovely Yasmin.
The pattern came about as an effort for knitters to help our
troops abroad by knitting them clothes to keep them warm.

I believe Yasmin
even posted an addendum to the pattern on
our meet-up website in the folders section. I
guess the pattern had a few kinks in it.
And, since I have
your attention, I want to thank all the knitters who bought
knitting magazines and books to the meetings. For those who
missed them, sorry, I should have placed them in a more prominent
location. I think the big hits included "Last Minute
Gifts", the holiday edition of Interweave 2007 and "Son of Stitch
'n Bitch." I also want to make a general SHOUT OUT to all
the new (or just new to me) members who came out . Since its
been a while since the last meet-up, I'll forgo
individual shout outs in fear of missing someone. But, I
want to encourage you knitters to take part in our little
community and post shout outs on the website about the cool people
you met and the knowledge they shared. Also, take part in
upcoming polls (There is currently a polls up on the website on
ravelry, so please vote) and rate

Circle meet-up website as a part of our description,
