Welcome to October. The season of wooly sweaters and fall fibers festivals is upon us. Most noticeably, the New York Sheep & Wool Festival, affectionately called RHINEBECK. For those who already signed up, expect a plethora of emails from me this weekend. For those on the fence, there are only 20 spots left on Manhattan bus. The 56 passenger Brooklyn bus is sold out. Personally, I can't wait to be surrounded by thousands of skeins of wool, cotton, alpaca, mohair, angora and silk.
To help prepare yourself for the festivals, feel free to de-stash at the Alter-Yarn swap scheduled for this Saturday, the 8th at 2pm. Any left over yarn will be donated to a charity.
