It's almost time for our next knit-along. This time around we'll be doing the Foliage hat from Knitty's Fall 2007 issue. It's designed to use either of two weights of yarn: a chunky yarn at 4 1/4 stitches per inch, or a worsted yarn at 5 1/4 stitches per inch. I've done the worsted version in Cascade 220; knit without alterations, it uses about half a skein. (I got a Foliage and a pair of Fetchings out of a single skein.)
Our August 14th meeting will be at Stitch Therapy on Lincoln Place, where all of us -- whether or not we're participating in the knit-along -- will get a 10% discount. The catch is that both August 14th and our next meeting fall during the Ravelympics, Ravelry's shindig to parallel the Olympics (I'm on Team Brooklyn, my final list of events to be confirmed). For those participating in the Ravelympics, doing a knit-along at the same time might be a bit much. I've put together a poll about it. I'll probably close it next Thursday and tell you the results then.
