FREE VIRGIN KNITTERS WORKSHOP

A former member
Post #: 2
The Textile Arts Center is looking for first time knitters for their second gallery exhibition.

Your turn to participate!

In conjunction with our November Gallery show, Virgin Knitters, participants in these free knitting workshops will work with artist Kim Hall to learn the basics of knitting to create a simple scarf. Workshop is free, but here's the catch: we need your first scarf.

Virgin Knitters, opening November 5, is the culmination of Kim Hall's multi-year project in collecting the first scarf of new knitters. Kim believes that the first scarf a person makes is especially unique—even lucky—because you can only make something for the first time once. Her collection to date, along with those collected from these four workshops will be on exhibit at Textile Arts Center and up for auction in time for the winter.

DATES:
Sat., October 9 -- 2-5PM
Sat., October 16 -- 2-5PM
Thurs., October 21 -- 6-9PM
Thurs., October 28 -- 6-9PM

These workshops are free, however space and materials will be limited. Please register below. All participants are welcome and encouraged to bring their own supplies.
