Weekly Beginners and Intermediate Hike and then a Bite - Marsh Creek State Park

This hike is for anybody who has ever said that they'd like to try hiking but were concerned about being in a group and not being able to handle the distance and hills.

So for the next month or so I'll be posting a weekly evening hike on Mondays or Tuesdays followed by dinner or drinks at a nice restaurant. Each week we'll gradually build up both distance and elevation with the goal of going to Valley Forge and going up both Mt. Misery and Mt. Joy sometime in May. Our first hike will be in March Creek State park and we'll meet at the parking lot at the end of Chalfont Road. Our rally time will be 5:15PM with a prompt departure scheduled for 5:30PM. We'll walk for about one hour and fifteen minutes and then have dinner at the Eagle Tavern. The Eagle Tavern Dinner will be posted as a separate event.

NOTICE: By attending an event you are agreeing that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES. No member of the group EXCEPT YOURSELF can be held responsible for any damages, accidents, or liabilities incurred while hiking with us.

As always, I want to make it clear that I do plan to lead my hikes always observing Safety First...but also with the intention that these hikes should be fun, enjoyable, relaxing and non-stressful social meetups...with a bit of a work out too.

Let's Go For a Walk! I Look Forward to Seeing You There! ;)

intense, you people don't play! The bench kept calling me...Don't worry I don't give up that easily, at least I know what to expect next time. Promise I'll keep up, everybody was really nice and I enjoyed meeting everyone. Good try on the picture wendy! maybe I'll let you get one next time[I can smell a camera, that's why I don't have a pic.

I'm a bit iffy (now, that's an understatement), I have a funeral so hopefully I can get home in time to change for a hike.

Cyril, where do we meet? Is there a specific address for the parking that GPS understands? My GPS girl has taken on some wild rides lately and I want to make sure.
