Crawford Lake is a World Biosphere Reserve as part of the Niagara Escarpment. There is a rare meromictic lake with a surrounding boardwalk as well as 19 klms of hiking trails.
So let's do some hiking in the morning before it gets too warm. Then we can stop for lunch and take in the 15th century reconstructed Iroquoian aboriginal village and heritage site. It's a good idea to bring a small backpack with lunch and water/drinks.
There is also a Visitors & Gathering Centre with gift shop, displays/exhibits and lunchroom facilities.
Please note that there is a $7.50 admission charge to enter the Crawford Lake Conservation Area payable onsite.
We can carpool to Crawford Lake and suggested gas contribution is $10 per passenger for the drivers. If you are a potential driver or need a ride, please indicate so below in the comments area.
