Italian Conversation: quattro chiacchiere tra amici

  • This location is shown only to members

This is an opportunity to speak Italian with other very friendly and enthusiastic Italian language speakers in a highly informal and comfortable setting. Our group is at all levels of Italian proficiency from beginning to advanced and we all help each other. Bring your dictionary and join us "per fare quattro chiacchiere in italiano" (to chat with each other in Italian).

Ciao tutti! Any NY Italians around? I find there are three types of Italians: the first is the Italian born and raised in Italy. This Italian knows you never drink cappuccino in the afternoon, that its a sin to add cheese to any fish dish (even pasta) and chicken parmesan is a made up American dish. Then there's the Americanized Italian. These are typically second and third generation Italians who identify themselves as American with Italian flare. This group would consider chicken parmesan an authentic Italian dish. Lastly, you have the NY Italian. This group is most likely first generation Italian and would enjoy a good dish of chicken parmesan only if it had fresh sauce and mozzarella on top, lol. What kind of Italian are you?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
