I'm a retired marketing exec-- we moved from Michigan to Silver Spring 5 years ago to get close to kids and grandkids (5 blocks away). My wife and I have an Italian daughter-in-law (now living near NYC) so we've been trying to learn Italian. We just returned from a month in Puglia, living in her currently-unoccupied family home on the Gargano Peninsula (Apricena). Incredible experience!
Searched the Intyernet for an opportunity just like this.
We tend to like all things Italian, except maybe the drivers.
As noted above, our motivation is to speak Italian with our dauighter-in-law (who, unfortunately for our language training, now speaks fluent English. I speak some French.

Practice Italian conversation (I have some basic skill-- but need to keep it up and expand it!)
Practice speaking Italian (indeed-- being forced to speak Italian) with a an eclectic group of people.
