What else would you like to tell our group about yourself?

well, non ho parlato italiano da anni! mi piaccerebbe a parlare con italiani o "Italian speaking people". I used to speak, think and even dream in Italian but without practice I have lost it...

How did you learn about our group?

I was looking for a group of Italian speaking people. basic research on the web site

What is your favorite Italian book, author, film, song, musician, food and/or city?

let's start with cities, I grew up in France near the Italian border and I have only visited the Northern part of Italy (never been to Roma o Firenze, not yet) My favorite cities, for the moment are : Bologna, Torino, Verona, Aosti e Venezia. My favorite author : Italo Calvino (Marccovaldo) e Tomasi di Lampedusa (Il gatopardo), next book in mind : Buzzati (il deserto dei tartari). Food : I'm tomato intolerant, that reduce my choice of Italian food but anyway, Antipasti, Foccacia, pasta al Pesto, gnocchi al gorgonzola, Carbonara, Risotto, all italian cheeses, mozzarella di bufala (without the tomatoes), parmiggiano, mascarpone, Ricotta, Tiramisu, Italian wine frizzante, prosecco, lambrusco, etc...

At what level do you speak Italian and do you speak other languages?

I'm french and grew up in Nice near Italy in an Italian family. I studied Italian for 10 years (I enrolled the equivalent of an Italian minor during my Bachelor studies). My Italian is a little bit rusty now but I hope not that bad after a few conversation. I also speak French (of course) and a little bit of Finnish.

What kind of events would you most enjoy?

Speaking, discussion group (and sharing Italian food, of course)

Hi! My name is Prudence, I'm a 26 young professional French woman who moved to D.C. one year ago. I have improved my English speaking skills but my Italian is getting worst... I would enjoy meeting new people, Italian or Italian speaking.
