I recently retired from the Foreign Service and am enjoying discovering and rediscovering so many interesting opportunities in the DC area.
From a colleague
Hard to pick one city but Rome and Venice are at the top of the list; tortellini a la panna; gelato; let's not forget great art!
I have forgotten most of my spoken Italian but still understand simple conversations. I speak better Spanish having spent recently 4 years in Mexico.

I lived in Italy from[masked] and was reasonably (but not totally) fluent but I haven't spoken Italian since then. I would like to regain my fluency so I can enjoy Italy more when I visit it. Plus Italian is a lovely language and a great culture!
