What else would you like to tell our group about yourself?

I spent two weeks in Italy in Oct. 2005. Even with a broken foot and countless mishaps, I had a great time.

How did you learn about our group?

Don't remember.

What is your favorite Italian book, author, film, song, musician, food and/or city?

Right now I want to get the books of Andrea Camilleri, on which the Commissario Montalbano series of TV films is based. Garlic spaghetti! Domenico Modugno! Too many films to choose one. Perugia, Rome, all of Italy.

At what level do you speak Italian and do you speak other languages?

Since I started learning Spanish in the 7th grade. My Italian is fluent but my vocabulary is incomplete. My Spanish and Portuguese are fluent, my French halting. Also know a little Romanian, Polish, Latvian, Arabic.

What kind of events would you most enjoy?

Introduction

In 1973, I studied Italian in Perugia and Rome. I'm a professional translator in Washington, but don't use Italian at work, so I really miss speaking it more often.
