What else would you like to tell our group about yourself?

Ho iniziato la scuola elementare in Italia, quando ho vissuto a Torino. Ho tanti cari amici Italiani dalla mia infanzia. Ho continuato a studiare la lingua e la cultura Italiana al liceo e all'universita'. I had the privilege to begin elementary school in Italy, where my paternal grandparents raised me. I have lifelong Italian friends whom I adore, as I do the culture and language of Italy.

How did you learn about our group?

The Italian Embassy announcements.

What is your favorite Italian book, author, film, song, musician, food and/or city?

Book/Author: probably Il Decamerone by Boccaccio (studied w/ Prof. Giuseppe Mazzotta when he was at Cornell U, that was a long time ago)! Film: Antonioni (all of his work). Song/Musician, Classical: Il Giardino Armonico/Vivaldi/Cecilia Bartoli. Food: Polenta sciolta con la gorgonzola sopra. City: Torino

At what level do you speak Italian and do you speak other languages?

About a half-century of interest in the Italian language (see why, above); I speak Italian well.

Introduction

L'Italia ha fatto tantissimo per tre generazioni di mia famiglia (paternale). Se non ci fosse per l'Italia, non sarei qui! Italy has done so much for three generations of my family (on my father's side); if it weren't for Italy, I wouldn't be here!
