After a career at the Department of Defense as a Business Intelligence System Architect, I'm now pursuing an activity that reconnects me to my beautiful homeland: Italy. I'm a liaison in the US for Italian wine producers in the regions of Piedmont and Liguria (Italian Riviera). I also do part-time catering, specializing in home fresh pasta, focaccia bread, pastry and biscotti. I love travelling, and when I can't, I'm a tour planner, designing itineraries for personalized vacations in Italy. I fill the tourist's day with fun activities, cooking classes, wine tasting visits at winemakers whom I personally know, "blu dipinto di blu" ferry rides, traditional festivals, and lots of other fun indoors/outdoors activities (tailored to people's hobbies). "Dulcis in fundo" ... why not? I teach Italian!
By mistake or better by luck ... looking to find network of people interested in retreats in Italy to market tourism in Piedmont and Italian Riviera. I didn't realize how many opportunities the Meetup engine is offering to people who like to engage with others enjoying same kind of hobbies and fun activities.
"Ciao America!" di Beppe Severgnini, "La vita e bella". For the rest, hard to say, too many favorites and still looking for more... I love to learn about new things, I'm adventurous, and I believe that is up to us to find what's good to us in everything.
Excellent Italian since I went to school in Italy and got a PhD at the University of Genoa. I'm fluent in English after working several years for a government firm, but I still have a "cute" accent.
