All I can say is I can't wait to meet you all and speak Italian with you. Spero che ci vediamo tra poco!
I learned about the group when I met Anthony at the 2009 Festa Italiana. Che buona fortuna!
My favorite Italian city is Venice for it's history, mystery, romance, architecture and much more and I'll never say no to an offer of tiramisu.
At age 14, I took a day trip to Italy while vacationing in France and got hooked on the idea of learning Italian. I've been doing so since college and speak moderately well. I also speak French, Spanish and Hebrew and sometimes get confused!

I love Italian -- there's just no language quite as delightful in my opinion and I'm thrilled to know that the chance exists in DC to speak it with others who enjoy it as much as I do.
Give thought to joining this group if you want to practice and improve your Italian with people who are serious about doing the same and who are also "serious" about having fun. It's always a great learning experience with laughs thrown in with this group. A very worthwhile way to spend part of one's spare time.
