It was nice---- brilliant colors and costumes. Much smaller and less diverse than I expected ( e.g Cuba was missing among others). Overall it was rewarding and got some nice shots.

I checked in about 10:30 (the listed time was 10 AM) and was the first to arrive. I waited 'till about 11:30 and no one else checked in and I saw no one from the group. In addition the event wasn't scheduled to begin 'till 11 AM according to the exhibitors and it would most likely not start 'till after noon (the meetup had it ENDING at noon). Unfortunately, I couldn't stay and left around 11:45. The weather was beautiful and the people were nice. But, I felt a bit frustrated by wasting a morning.

It was lively, colorful and fun. Great for photos, if you don't mind the blazing sun but they couldn't help that.

Update: I should receive the full activity schedule next week and will post online. If it's anything like last year's, the parade will be from 11 am - 2 ish. Then the bands will play and there will be food and dancing until late evening.

Wow, dang, you guys are fast. I didn't expect any interest this far in advance. An FYI, the parade starts later and goes until 6 p.m. I'll post more details after I've been in touch with the organizers.
