Re: show in gallery? [photo-496] Thanks to all of you

Do you mean put on a show directed by the group only? Do you have any experience doing that?  Just wondering because it might get expensive.  Galleries, most charge a fee anyway (after they accept an artist). They send out advertising and promote shows, they know how to hang a show and handle all the problems involved. There's more to it then just hanging pictures on a wall.  But, if anyone can get a space in a good location at a decent price, could even be in someones home, I'm for that too.  Maybe some in the group have a patron list and we could all meet and spend some time addressing and sending out invitations. Although a gallery that is putting on a show would do that for you.

What about pooling our resources to rent out an actual art gallery space where we can put out an exhibit of our work.  Something were we actually put out a catalogue with listed photographers and their work.
This seems to be one way to move up the ladder.
