I am wholly for not bothering with a paying gig.  I've had free photo shows at a coffee shop in Laguna Beach.  Long Beach has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops and probably other places to show our stuff.  I'll ask a painter friend of mine how she gets her stuff in restaurants. 

Also, we are the Long Beach Digital Photography group.  It would be nice to have something within the vincinity of Long Beach.
