I would have liked to see a review of different types of tools, including plenty of GUI-based tools, and have pro/con reviews with personal experience from designers. I'm more interested in mobile and touch-based interactions that provide their own set prototyping. This session seemed very narrow on web and was on the technical side. Probably a great session for the right attendee, but too dev-oriented for me.

I had the same feelings. While I appreciate the preparation that Adam put into his presentation and I can understand it on a conceptual level, I don't think I was the target audience for the presentation. It was far more developer/engineer oriented than what I was expecting or hoping for.

I'll second that, Kurt. Maybe soon we'll have to have a less dev-focused discussion closer to what Brad suggested above

Does anyone have any experience with Facebook's Origami QuartzComposer prototyping framework?

Deployd and Firebase are excellent tools for prototyping REST API's.

Thanks. I'm in the waiting area on the 10th.

If you won't be joining us tomorrow please un-RSVP. For those who have already we appreciate you updating your status and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Just un-RSVP'd. I'd love to go, but last minute plumbing issues had to take priority.

I am a 3D modeler with my own 3D printers. Should I join you or this is more about software development?

    January 30, 2014

    • Adam W.

This is more focused towards software development, not physical prototyping.

If you've RSVP'd to this event but you're plans have changed please update your status so that we can have as accurate a count as possible. We'll be ordering some refreshments for the attendees and would like to make sure there is enough.

Any update on a venue change?

    January 27, 2014

    • Ben P.

So over the weekend we got a lot of interest in this event. I didn't see a need as of friday of last week to move the event, now its unfortunately too late. I still encourage all on the waiting list that want to attend to come and we'll make due with the space we have.

      January 28, 2014

  • Ben P.

Even though this event shows as full for those of you still interested in coming please still RSVP and it will add you to the waiting list giving me an idea of how large of a venue we'll need, then we'll look into possibly changing it to a larger venue (keeping it as close to downtown SLC as possible). Given these events are free please be considerate when RSVP'ing, we'd really like to accommodate as many as we can. If your plans change and you find that you won't be able to make it please change your RSVP status so others that want to attend will be aware.
