Your meetup organizers are very happy to present the 2012 Alberta Street Fair - an event I'm truly excited to announce because of our involvement as part of the selection committee. The music and performances at each of the three stages are free for attendees and any funds raised at the Main Stage beer garden go directly to help the community non-profit that runs the Street Fair. The event lasts all day starting at 11am. So come check out street festivities and plan to attend those performances that interest you the most.
Plus did we mention your organizers were deeply involved in the setup of this event?!
Come make us look good!!! :)
Here's what you have to look forward to ...
1. Three stages of music - rock to jazz to electronic to funk to alternative to acoustic
2. Dancers - Brazilian samba to Tribal to Irish
3. A kids parade at 11:00 and a kids area with activities
4. Vendors and crafters of all kinds
I'll try and summarize each act in one short blurb (I know that's a disservice!) but if a description piques your interest, visit Alberta Main Street's "Stages" page below which has links to all the performers and you can check 'em out in detail.
