A Menu Question:
I am looking to develop some side menus that inherit from page sub sections that are 2-3 clicks deep... I like the idea of using the "Appearance > Menus" screen because the UI is very easy for author type users .
But the issues with using "Appearance > Menus" is as the website scales I want to deligate the content management of these menus to the more restricted author level and it seems admin users are the only ones that can access the user Appearance section. Can any one reccomend a good tutorial, book, plugin, or place to research best practice solutions for this issue?
Ideally it would seem a more intuitive approach to handle this for more authors would be to have a the have a page type embed with the pages example that maybe utilizes the same UI as "Appearance > Menus":
/products/product1/ (includes menu above)
/products/product1/overview (includes menu above)
/products/product1/features (includes menu above)
/products/product1/collateral (includes menu above)
/products/product1/collateral/reports (includes menu above)
/products/product1/collateral/instructions (includes menu above)
What do you think?
