Tasty n Alder

Tasty n Alder opened earlier in February & all month is their "soft opening".  The grand opening is March 1st.  In the mean time... BRUNCH 9a-2p SEVEN DAYS A WEEK!

Tasty n Alder is a plate sharing experience just like Tasty n Sons. When a table places their order the items come out of the kitchen in random order and at different times.  When a plate arrives at your table... you take a bit and pass it to your friend who does the same.  So!  If you're joining us at Tasty n Alder, come prepared to share plates/pass plates and split the bill equally - with the exception of alcohol, you are expected to pay 100% of your tab then split the food balance equally.  "The morning cocktail list features four takes on the Bloody Mary and five Champagne-based cocktails. Boozy milkshakes, like Grasshoppers and a take on the Brandy Alexander, will also be available during brunch." Is boozy breakfast a bad way to start the week?  Or is it the Best Monday Ever?!  There's no judging.  What happens at breakfast, stays at breakfast.

Please, everybody, in order to make paying the bill convenient, bring small bills.

Can we go again soon since some of us couldn't and because those who went like it so much?

This was a great example of a place that was glad to see a group, and we were made to feel very welcome. Occasionally we will go somewhere that makes it plain they would rather not serve groups but Tasty N Alder gave us excellent service and AWESOME food! Cannot recommend them enough!

Robin it was great seeing you last night at the History Pub. Consider adding this review of Tasty N Alder to Yelp. :)

Several dishes came to the table compliments of the house! It was a very nice way to start the week off.

GETTING THERE - FYI: Tasty n' Alder is very near the Portland Streetcar (NS & CL) as well as the Red & Blue Max line. Plan your trip at PortlandStreetcar.org or TriMet.org

Tasty n' Alder is not accepting reservations. I will get there 30 minutes early (10am) to get our names on a wait list of need be. But it's Monday and so I'm not expecting any "issues". Thank you for RSVPing to my 1st MeetUp as Host. I look forward to meeting you all. What a great way to start the week!

I've been in Portland for about 2 years and one of the things I love about the area is that the weather doesn't seem to slow Portlanders down! The forecast, as of now, for Monday morning is temperatures close to 50 (balmy!) and "showers" which is better than "rain". This is NOT a requirement of attending this particular MeetUp so please do not let it influence your RSVP... After I have breakfast I'm going for a walk around the waterfront (NOT a speed walk/power walk). If you'd like to join me, wear sneakers & a rain jacket and bring a water bottle. If you are joining me for this after breakfast walk the details are as follows: 3.76 mile after breakfast walk. From Tasty n' Alder to SW Naito Pkwy/Waterfront to Hawthorne Bridge. Cross Hawthorne. Walk Eastbank Esplanade to Steel Bridge. Cross Steel Bridge. Walk Waterfront back to Washington or Alder & your parked vehicle near Tasty n' Alder. Anybody interested? Maybe??

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
