How can you not like a place with a bunch of cute carved bears playing around just outside the restaurant. I thought it must be time for another trip to my neighborhood, on the Westside, in Beaverton. So, here we are, the Black Bear Diner. The Black Bear Diner is a Western U.S. chain of 53 restaurants, from the far NW corner of Washington state, to Southern California, and as far east as central Colorado. They started in 1995, in the Mount Shasta area of California and have spread to nine states. The food is wholesome, with good sized portions, and not a lot of fancy foo foo. You'll enjoy a good standard American breakfast, and walk away full and satisfied.
