Did you know that we are making extra virgin olive oil in Oregon??? The Oregon Olive Mill is hosting a 2-day conference focused on high quality extra virgin olive oil! Day one (Saturday April 16th) is agronomy focused, and open for sign-up, but the most appropriate day for this group would be Sunday April 27th, where we will discuss olive oil labeling, usage, and engage in a didactic olive oil tasting. Featured panelists include Jim Dixon (realgoodfood.com), Chef Vitaly Paley, and food writer/cookbook author Nancy Harmon Jenkins. Sunday evening following the conference, Chef Vitaly Paley will be preparing an olive oil-focused dinner to be enjoyed at the Oregon Olive Mill.
