Learn It/Do It with Outgrowing Hunger

Let's learn, plant, and make a bit of a differenceOutgrowing Hunger is a fairly new nonprofit that's already gained traction and respect in the Portland area with a focused mission to, "get healthy food into the mouths of hungry people." Adam Kohl, founder and director of Outgrowing Hunger, is offering a work and learn session to help get things growing on their 10,000 sq. feet of garden space. We'll start with a discussion of who Outgrowing Hunger is, followed by garden building, soil prep, and planting.

Tools and light refreshments will be provided. Learn more about this start-up nonprofit that's making a difference in the lives of those with hunger insecurity.

I'm posting and will attend the Friday, April 19, 10:00 a.m. session, but if you can't make that, they have two more scheduled and would love volunteers to rsvp from their website and come and contribute.

Yes, happening. Adam Kohl, the founder and director of Outgrowing Hunger will be hosting this. My weather says rain through 11 a.m. and then clearing up--we'll go with that.

I am still not over being sick enough to hack it in the rain. Would love to be able to do this in the future!
