He bolts around the house, ears back & tail down, super-fast when playing. He also does this when he needs to eliminate, but will add scaling up the back door. He will also talk to himself when playing with his toys. He gets angry at stuffed ones.
He was born January 7th, his name is Borivoj (roughly translated in Czech...it means "destructor").
We did our research and found a wonderful woman who raises shibas. Though out of state, don't worry, it is not a puppy mill. She's a real human being who had us go through a thorough contract and still keeps in contact regularly and gives us advice.
My husband and I have been looking into adopting a Shiba Inu for quite a long time and we have had a great opportunity to get one. We enjoy socializing Borivoj with other Shibas, now that he has been unleashed upon the world!
Our puppy has greatly benefited from meeting with other Shibas. He is becoming less awkward with his social skills and is learning when to stop pushing other dog's buttons (or at least we like to think so). Though he still remains an antagonist (mainly with us) we see a brighter future for him with others. We are pretty thankful this group exists!
