Working in GitHub and BitBucket

Code shouldn't be written in a vacuum.

Learn how to use social-version-control to work collaboratively online, using GitHub and BitBucket. After covering the basics of using Git, and getting your account up and running, we will focus on how you can improve your workflow for small projects and working with larger teams.

Alison Stump is a front-end developer at Thetus Corporation. All her current projects both at work and at home use cloud-based version control and she loves it.

What should you bring to these meetups. Im assuming your laptop and maybe a notebook and something to write with. Are there any special books or anything you would need to bring?

Some people bring laptops to follow along with the presenters and some people take a lot of notes but there is nothing you need to bring but yourself.

Thanks that was pretty much what I was going to do but it will be my first one so I was most likely just going to take notes and soak it all in and evaluate weather I wanted to regularly start attending.. Thanks for responding though...

Damnit I want to see your session but Design Week creates crippling conflict. See you soon!
