I am nearing completion of my 1-year certificate in Web Development at Portland Community College. I need an co-op internship (unpaid) for Fall term. Does anyone know of a company that would be willing to take on an intern and get some free work in the process?
The requirements are that I perform a minimum of 20 hours work during the term (seems rather a minimal amount -- I'm sure we could work out a deal for more hours, thus giving me more opportunity to gain additional experience), that I perform functions directly related to my major (web development), that the internship be with a legal business, that expectations of the internship (tasks and expectations) be provided be agreed upon, and that at the end of term, a school "employment specialist & faculty mentor" will conduct a short site visit with the employer to review how I did with the learning objectives and my supervisor will also be requested to complete an employer evaluation. "Complete" details of the program can be found at on the PCC Cooperative Education - Internship page < http://spot.pcc.e... > .
If anyone knows of a company that may be in a position to provide an internship please send me < [address removed] > the information for the individual(s) I would need to contact. In the meantime, I have thrown up a website with some preliminary information about myself and a link to a copy of my current resume on the webpage <http://www.ldmart... > I recently created for myself (due to be expanded as my school schedule allows).
