I do have one question I wish I had asked at the event. (Great meetup by the way.) For the purposes of SEO on a simple site with static pages that includes a blog, is there a preference for connecting a blog page from a blog site (like Tumbler) and integrating it into the site like it is one of the pages or going with CMS? Which would upload faster on mobile, for example? Which might have better SEO everything else being equal?
Generally you want everything hosted on-domain to maximize association with you. Pulling in content externally can cause slowdowns as well.
