fiction, biographies, autobiographies.
I like to write both short stories and novels (though have yet to actually finish a novel - it is a goal I'll achieve some day!) I write stuff on my own as well as fiction with an on-line writing partner which I find is very much fun and great for keeping my creative juices flowing. We write tons of stories that we just keep adding to as we go along each of us choosing characters and writing them against each other letting them, for the most part, do the story telling. I find it a great writing exercise and because often I don't know what her characters will be doing on the return of our story, it keeps my writing flexible which I think is important.
Donna was born and raised in the Midwest and currently lives in the South. She began writing at a young age and had dreams of being a published author, a dream that faded when she believed she'd never be good enough. The characters in her head never stopped visiting however, and almost thirty years later, after reading some less than stellar stories, she finally decided that maybe she is good enough after all and began writing again. Since then she can often be found in various places with her lap top typing away in her fictional world. The letters on her abused lap top keys have faded off from her fingers flying over them so much. She vows to replace them soon. :)
I couldn't find a 'Great Expectations' post :(
Hi There, I'm a forty something, married, mom of three who loves to write. Stumbled upon your group and it sounds great. Not sure how many meetings I'll be able to attend, but still....
