Fiction, historical fiction, murder mysteries, adventure ... sometimes non-fiction as related to psychology, philosophy or science. Occasionally, I read biographies. My favorite writers are Bernard Cornwell, David Liss, Jack Finney, Michael Crichton, Carlos Castenada, HG Wells, Lee Child, Malcolm Gladwell, Ken Bruen, Don Winslow, Dennis Lehane and probably a few other I can't think of at the moment.
Not really, but I would say a novel would be my preference at this point, probably an historical novel since those are the books I enjoy reading most.
Presuming it's on the jacket of a book I wrote, here's what I'd say: Born in New York City and after a long career as a successful businessman, David Gould has channeled his passion for writing into creating great fiction. Gould takes his readers on trips to the past, when life was far different from what we now know, and brings stories long gone back to life. Gould now lives in the Atlanta area with his wife. He has two adult children.
Hi I'm David. I'm a avid reader and aspiring writer, now that I have ample free time to devote to writing. I found your group on the local meetup site and felt this would be a good place to get past my inertia and start to put something together.
